I am not my hair

For my 30th birthday I decided I wanted a change and cut all of my hair off. I cut it 2 more times afterward. Now not even 6 months later I am letting it grow back. I had micro braids for a month and a half. Let me tell you micros was the worst hair experience I have had. I have always prided myself on having long REAL hair. The micros were a blow to my self esteem. LOL. One, they hurt like hell (I will never do it again). Two, I jut felt so ghetto with them it was sad. No offense to anyone that likes micros. Maybe it was because I did not know what to do with them. My hair grew alot while they were in though. My husband hates that I cut my hair but he liked the short cut. He absolutely hated the micros! he misses being able to pull my hair and run his hands through it. I don't know why men like long hair so much. I felt more confident with short hair. You could not tell me I was not a bad BISH. But I am not use to turning my head and my hair not moving. I just miss the flow that my hair had. It is right up under my ears now from it being 2 inches from my scalp before. I am not pressed on it all growing back, I just need enough for it to "flow" again.
